Mint Street Adventure PlaygroundSeveral years ago Mint Street Park was a semi-derelict open space with a reputation for crime and anti-social behaviour. BOST brought together the local community, with support from Southwark Council and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, to meet the needs of key user groups including homeless people and the local youth, both of whom were to play a role in improving the space. Mint Street has changed enormously and for the better, local people enjoy particularly the rich scented planting maintained by volunteers including homeless people from the nearby St Mungo's Hostel, while the ball court is regularly used by sportspeople of all ages.
