London Chinese Community NetworkQ: What is it?A: The London Chinese Community Network (the Network) was launched in 2001 and is a second-tier* organisation which works with London Chinese voluntary and Community organisations. Q: What are its aims and objectives?A: It aims to form a Network of Chinese Community Organisations (CCOs) in London in order to promote the interests of the Chinese Community in London through enabling mutual support, advocacy at policy level and organisational capacity building. Q: How is the Project managed?A: A Board of Trustees comprising representatives of CCOs has been formed to oversee the work of the Network. Q: How is the work carried out?A: The Network needs to recruit members. The staff will then visit its members to find out what are their service and funding needs. This will be done in a professional and confidential manner. The Network will then take on an advocacy role with policy makers and funders. Individual members can get support in its service and funding development through the Project. The Network will also produce monthly funding bulletins, quarterly newsletters and organise workshops and conferences. Q: What else could a Network member get?A: On becoming a member:
