The dojo logo has a special significance for the Institute. As many of you will know Sensei George taught for 25 years at the 'Marble Factory' dojo in Camberwell, London until it was tragically destroyed in a fire in 1998. The Camberwell Beauty Butterfly is a reminder of his links to that era. It also has a deeper meaning in that the stages of metamorphosis of the butterfly represent the personal development that can be achieved by the diligent practice of Traditional Karate do.
