Hounslow Jamia MasjidThe Hounslow Jamia Masjid (Hounslow Mosque) and Islamic Centre is prominent institutions of Ahl-us-Sunnah wal Jama'h (Sunni Muslims). The boundaries of its activities and services are extending. The Centre is considered to be one of the unique institutions that presents and teaches Islam in response to the needs and social environment of the West. The Centre is well-known among Muslims and other faith communities for its wider services. These Include: EventsChildren's Education:-Part-time evening school for boys and girls, from ages 5 to 13 years. A complete syllabus of an 8 year course offered on the Quran, Islamic Theology and History and the Urdu Language. Facilities for Tahfeez-ul-Quran also available Religious Education for the YouthFortnightly seminars on Sunday conducted in English followed by a session of Questions and Answers. Adult Religious Education- Daily Dars-e-Hadith in Urdu and English. - Weekly Dars-e-Quran (Lessons of Quranic Teaching) on Sundays. - Occasional courses on Islam. Spiritual ExercisesEvery Thursday the people assemble for Zikr and Darood Sharif in the evenings Visits to the MosqueGroups of school children , teachers, social workers, health workers, police officers, university and college students, frequently visit the Centre. They are always welcome. Lectures on Islam and Muslim culture is given. Information on Islam and the Mosque is also provided. ===Marriage Ceremonies - Nikah =Marriages are solemnised according to Islamic law (Nikah) and are recorded in the Centre's register. Festivals / Religious MeetingsAll the main festivals are celebrated and public meetings are regularly held for important events. Lectures by guest-speakers in Urdu and English are given. ===Funeral Services - Janaza =The Centre makes arrangements for funeral and burial services for Muslims, known as Janaza.
