Agape Arabic Christian Centre

The Agape Centre in Porchester Road is an outreach project run by the London Arabic Evangelical Church. This church meets at St Paul's Church (URC), Bayswater, 12 Newton Road, London W2 5LS. You are warmly invited to attend the meetings. There is a Bible study, a youth group and Sunday School all meeting at 3.00pm on Sunday. At 3.45pm there is a church service. We also hold a prayer meeting at the Agape Centre on Fridays at 6.00pm. The church service is in Arabic and translation is available when needed.

Agape Centre Mission

1. To introduce Christ to Arabic speaking Muslims and nominal Christians as well as Arab visitors from the Middle East. It is very difficult to approach Middle Eastern people in their own countries. We have the big privilege of freedom in the West to be able to do so. 2. To train Western Christians to be prepared to answer Muslims' questions. It is usual now to have a Muslim neighbour, friend or fellow student. Most of them are honestly searching for the truth and need to be loved and to have their questions answered. This can be done through local as well as overseas missions. 3. To help and support new immigrants who come to London seeking a better life, especially those who have been converted from Islam or have been brought up in a Muslim society. We as Arabs have a good knowledge of the Arabic language and Islamic culture and can read the Koran in the original language. We are therefore prepared for such a ministry. 4. To offer a sense of trust and belonging to such minority groups by helping in the very much needed issues in different ways such as education, especially language teaching, family and religious issues. 5. We practise our evangelistic duty without any confrontation or compromise. We do not force anyone to believe, but proclaim the gospel effectively. 6. To integrate into the local community and co-operate with other churches and organisations around to serve and fulfil the spiritual needs of the whole community. We are always seeking for partners to undertake joint projects in order to enhance our ministry.
