The Belgian community in the UK had its own newspaper, which was published at 108 Eaton Square London, where the Belgian government in exile was established and which, until early 2006, was the address of the Belgian Embassy.

Some 15,000 Belgian refugees settled in the UK. Most of them lived near London and the rest were widely dispersed around several fishing ports and Liverpool, between the Belgian army camps at Great Malvern and Leamington Spa and in northwestern cities such as Preston.
