About Brixton

Brixton is an area of the London Borough of Lambeth, in inner-South London. It is bordered by Stockwell, Clapham Common, Streatham, Camberwell, Tulse Hill and Herne Hill.

Brixton has a mix of residents, ranging from people that have lived in Brixton for generations to new residents that have moved prompted by a new trendy image that Brixton projects. Brixton is a multiethnic community, with around 24 percent of Brixton’s population being of African and/or Caribbean descent, giving rise to Brixton as the unofficial capital of the British African-Caribbean community in London.
